Simple portfolio websites are a hot trend right now. We are seeing more of this type of work come through the door! Fashionista’s, bloggers, artists & executives – anyone who wants to control their image online.
Our clients are using them to say what they want & convey a little about themselves, where they’ve been, or showcase work samples.
In order to keep people truly interested you need to form a human connection. One of the best ways to accomplish this is to include a sample photograph of yourself somewhere on the page.
Andrea Mann uses a photo which encapsulates much of her homepage. This is also blended into the darker background and colored using shades of B&W. It looks fantastic but don’t be scared we understand not everyone looks like Andrea! Point being you don’t need to use huge images of your self on your web portrait page.
Even a small photograph on your homepage or about page offers visitors a glimpse into who you are. The message is about personalizing the page, making it real & creating the connection with the user.
