The end of 2004 there were 1 million active users on Facebook.
Wow…. how times have changed!
As of June 2013, there were 128 Million Daily Active Users in the US alone. Of those 128 Million, 101Million of them are Daily MOBILE Users.
The number of daily active mobile users is on the rise, from 425 Million to 469 Million from Q1 to Q2 in 2013. These everyday users are the folks we all should be paying our attention to. They are the ones who will click through to your website, to a promotion or engage with a post.
Facebook will soon be revealing user counts for other countries beyond the US and UK (data below). The total stats count each individual user as 1 regardless of whether they accessed from desktop, mobile, or both.
This data will be particularly helpful for advertisers trying to figure out which market they should be focusing their efforts.
Facebook for business is mobile. The portion of users on mobile is HUGE. Make sure you’re targeting them by running mobile friendly promotions with Social Incite Apps.
